Les espoirs de l’animation is a competition organized by Gulli, Tiji and Canal + that invites French schools to participate in the creation of a short film. The rule of the game was: 1 month to make the film and respect the theme «Children of Digital». We chose the Gulli channel whose sub theme was «A hyperconnected family».
Les espoirs de l’animation est un concours organisé par les chaînes Gulli, Tiji et Canal + qui invite les écoles françaises à participer à la création d’un court métrage. La règle du jeu était: 1 mois pour réaliser le film et respecter le thème « Les enfants du numérique ». Nous avons choisi la chaîne Gulli dont le sous thème était « Une famille hyperconnectée ».
Since the advent of computers, a new language has been created. We wanted to play with the visual aspect of these terms, such as “cover photo” or “tag a photo”, and transpose them to the screen through the prism of a grandfather who is unfamiliar with this jargon. We wanted to use a mise-en-scène inspired by the Italian series La Linea: a fixed angle of view accompanied by a camera movement that reveals elements on the screen. In our case, a simple tracking shot that gradually reveals the grandfather’s way of thinking.
Depuis l’apparition de l’informatique, un nouveau langage s’est créé. Nous voulions jouer avec l’aspect imagé de ces termes comme «photo de couverture» ou «taguer une photo» et les retranscrire à l’écran à travers le prisme du grand père qui ne connaît pas ce jargon. Nous avons souhaité une mise en scène inspirée de la série italienne La Linea : un angle de vue fixe accompagné d’un mouvement caméra qui fait découvrir des éléments à l’écran. Dans notre cas un simple travelling arrière qui fait apparaître progressivement le schéma de pensée du grand père.
