The hiding bird
This project was developed as part of a call for projects to produce a short children’s television film which was not followed up. I had a lot of fun putting this story into pictures, which is why I’m sharing my research with you.
At dawn, the last flakes fall on the roofs of the city. The streets are deserted. It’s the beginning of spring and the village square is still asleep. The sound of a shutter opening resonates in the calm of the morning. It’s Leo, in his pajamas, who sticks his head out of the window. He contemplates the still fresh snow. If he’s so early, it’s because today is a special day, he’s moving. A bird song attracts his attention, a white shape appears and disappears in the background, it is a white bird. A game of hide and seek begins between them: behind the freshly emerging leaves of a bush? Or in the reflection of a puddle that has resisted frost? For a moment, a bond will be created between Leo and the bird, but when the city wakes up, it is time for them to separate and leave for new horizons.
